Review: Justice League #1

The time has finally come to review the DCnU. The last issue of Flashpoint shipped today along with the first issue of the new Justice League series. Flashpoint ended very well. It was a superb series and is worthy of a pick up.

Justice League #1 is basically a Batman and Green Lantern show for most of the book. We see Cyborg, but not as Cyborg yet...he is still just Vic Stone a high school football star. It seems as if we will see an origin of Cyborg and of the Justice League as well. This issue read well and the plot is a solid one. We have the big bad revealed but just his name. It is worthy of bringing together the world's greatest heroes.

All in all I would give this 4 out of 5 batarangs. The only thing keeping it from 5 is that it is mostly set-up and this plot would have made a better follow-up story instead of the first story. People are all keyed up to see the newness of the DCnU, and this was still set-up for where we are now (or will be when other books ship next week).

Good job, but it could have been more explosive out of the gate. Here's looking to next week and more (lots more) books.

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry it has been so long since I have written you. The beginning of school can be tough on a teacher and they moved the main hub for the internet where I live. I have been without the net for two weeks. I am back and better than ever now...just in time for the DCnU to launch with Justice League 31 next week. Be on the lookout next Thursday night for a review of that issue.

Talk at you soon...
